Venue Change

Hi guys,

From our very own Squid boss, the venue for CF will be in B28 at the moment.

We will inform you should there be any changes.

Angerous!

Ola Christian amigoes : )

Tis the holidays for the CAL people, but the CF has still been up and running : )
Thanks a big loads to Sherlynn who took her holidays to prepare CG materials for us! We also saw some old faces back in CF again, such as Timothy and also Ben Kane! : ) Hi guys!

Yesterday, we had a great time listening to Sherlynn talk about anger (are you angry, Sher?). One of the big questions she posed was : Is it wrong to be angry?

Can Christians be angry?

How do we then handle anger?

I think she did a wonderful job explaining selfish anger, and righteous anger. Anger is something we all have to go through as humans, but it's important to not sin when we're boiling with rage. Like the exerpt from the materials, some guy threw a dart at his friend O.o

Jesus was angry at times. Like when they desecrated the temple and turned it into a market place, Jesus was furious! He turned tables and his blood boiled. But this wasn't selfish anger, it was righteous anger. This anger was for how the sacred holy place got turned into a regular noisy market.

Selfish anger = Yelling at your little bro for annoying you

Righteous anger = Yelling at your little bro if he smoked, because you care for him

Got it? : ) Awesome! See you guys next week then!

Ps. CF venue will be changed due to B30 being turned into a computer room. I will keep you all posted! Your resident blogger, Jon, is currently away with the kangaroos down under.

God Bless!

Project Genesis

This is something my sister let me read back when I was... 13. =D

It's called Project Genesis. A light hearted read about the very beginning of time... with a corporate twist.

It's fun-neh to say the least. =)

It was originally in Russian, so kudos to whoever actually translated the whole 5 pages.

Yes, it's 5 pages. ._.

Without further ado, Project Genesis!

Sis. Tabitha at Taylor's CF!

Hailing from Cornerstone Doulos, Sister Tabitha came and inspired us in the Spirit.

The worship session was led by our very own Yee Lian who invited the speaker, her youth advisor.

Although small in numbers, the people of God sang with great spirits.

Sister Tabitha introducing herself.

She talked about facing troubles, more specifically 'disasters' in our lives. How we are so easily bombarded with many of life's disasters and how we ought to respond to it.

"Cyclones destroy buildings.
They reveal the foundation of the building."

She brought us to a whole different insight on how God brings those troubles into our lives, not to harm us but to bring us to a deeper relationship with Him. She said a sentence that really opened my eyes up. "Cyclones destroy buildings. They reveal the foundation of the building" Likewise, the cyclones in our lives are there to reveal the foundation of our faith. The true testing comes in making that decision whether or not we should continue trusting God.

Sister Tabitha sharing a 'painful' experience.

After the message, she then led us to an amazing session of prayer at the altar. An altar call was given and she ministered to those who responded.

Do Come Back!

It was an amazing experience last friday.

Update-o Friday-o!

Hey, pea-pole!

CF is still ON this Friday [13/6/08], for those who were confused.

YES, despite this Friday hardly having people present in college.
YES, despite them A-Level Students finishing their paper in the morning.
YES, despite the risk of lesser people.
YES, we will still have CF. =)

Our purpose is to come together and take every chance we have to honour our Father, leave the attendance for God to arrange. =) He IS the Master Planner, after all. Just look at that universe.

So, what's rockin' this Friday?

Tabitha from Cornerstone Doulos will be dropping by to share the Word. She's a Youth Advisor according to our Prez so you can expect a spirited and geared up woman ready to speak!

Greek Lesson 101: 'Doulos' means bond-servant. In the context of the Bible, it is used as a sign of honouring God and being thankful in His servitude.

Yes, people. I googled. =D

Our own Squid Liege aka Yee Lian will be co-song leading with Joseph if all goes well. =)

Come and be blessed, especially after this harrowing week. Oh, the torture.

It's the same place as usual:

Class B30
2.30pm - 4.00pm
Bring yourselves and a heart for God. =)

p/s: If you'd like us to link your blog up on this site, feel free to request it in the chatbox. Promote promote Taylor's CF!

In the last moments...

"He is before all things, and in him all things hold together."
-Colossians 1:17

"I can do all things through him who strengthens me."
-Philippians 4:13

Hi all! In this last day before the semester exam begins for the CAL 0'8 and the finals drawing to a close for the rest of the CAL students, let's just remember to turn to God for His strenghth and His guidance through it all.

It's hard, it's tough. You feel like pulling your hair out at every moment, but know that God is there and he will SEE YOU THROUGH. And that's a promise, even as we watched the Laminin video and are reminded of how "In Christ, all things hold together".

As we go for our exams, take our papers and all, remember to pray for and with each other. Set aside time with your fellow Christians and just submit it to God. We can't do it alone, we need each other. One body in Christ, and One CF we shall be. Not just n Fridays, but as constant spiritual friends, companions, and prayer buddies to each other.

For everyone who reads this blog, The CF is with you in prayers as we embark on this exams together!

LET'S DO THIS !!!

CF prayer group meets on Monday for exam prayers at 7.45, SAM garden.

Love!

LAMININ!!

Louie Giglio - "Laminin!"

For those that attended CF today, kudos!

We had Louie Giglio (on CD, of course) share about the greatness of our God and how immense He really is.

Time to stop taking Him for granted and stop underestimating Him. He's HUMONGOUS!

For those that missed out, never fear!

God created the Internet. =)

**Newcomer all the way from Sunway UniCol! Hey, Angeline Tan!**

From the Prez's desk:

Yee Lian, the Squid Queen, urges all CF Committee Members (especially) and all Christians and non-Christians alike to come for prayer meets at the SAM Garden to congregate and pray for the A-Levels exams next week.

It is held as usual which is Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7.45am. Come and be a blessing to others!

Just look out for the group of people usually around one of the tables in the garden area. Don't be shy, ask if you're not sure! =)

Til then, good luck and God bless in exams!

p/s: Committee members, I have an idea for a blog header... *mischievous laughter* and it involves... YOUUUU!

Louie!

Hey, Christ Ambassadors!

This Friday is a REAL treat as we'll be having none other than Louie Giglio coming to share the Word... through multimedia! (ie. a CD =D)

Don't be fooled, the Word is powerful whether delivered in person or otherwise!

The Venue is still the same as always alright, Class B30 at 2.30pm on Friday!

Be there or be square (or circle, or triangle... whichever floats your boat)!

Am I using too many exclamation marks? Yes!

Come and be filled by God's message and have Him put a smile on your face. I guarantee you won't go back home without one.

=) See?

God bless you! andyouandyouandyouandyouandyou!

p/s: You readers really really really must come. You can tell I'm excited about it, can't you? haha
